How Can I Run My Pogo Game As The "Administrator"?

Ensure you have Administrator Access

In certain instances the Windows operating system may not give a game the necessary permissions it needs to work as expected. This may cause the game to not start, run properly or may cause 'saving' issues. Enabling the option to run the game as administrator may help in this case. The information below can help with this.

To run as Administrator

Right click on the game icoin on your desktop. When the drop down menu comes up, select 'Run as Administrator'


Check Anti-Virus or Firewall

First, your anti-virus software or your firewall software may be causing this issue. Please make sure to configure your software to allow our games to operate properly. If you are not sure how to do this, the Help menu in your software should point you to the instructions you need.

Please note that our games are safe to install and play and contain no spyware, malware, or viruses. Check your virus software to make sure that your definitions are up to date.

Disable User Account Control

Please follow the steps below to disable User Account Control.  In order to make this change you must be logged in as administrator.

Windows Vista
1. Open the Control Panel.
2. Click on User Accounts.
3. Click "Turn user account control on or off".
4. Uncheck the box next to "Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer" and click "Ok" to save your changes.

Windows 7
1. Open the Control Panel and make sure that in the upper-right hand corner it states "View by: Large Icons".
2. Click on User Accounts.
3. Click "Change User Account Control Settings".
4. Slide the slider all the way down to "Never notify" and click on OK

Windows 8
1. In the search bar or charm, type "Change User Account Settings"
2. Slide the slider all the way down to "Never notify" and click on OK

Re-start Computer

After you have taken the steps above, close all programs you are running and re-start your computer and relaunch the game
